Trip to Vizag

As some of my friends were leaving Hydbd,so we all planned to have one outing together and Vizag seemed to be a tantalizing option to us.We started planning for trip and getting tickets from Tuesday 16th May, but couldn’t finalize it as Rakheja was not getting confirmation for some of his meetings. Finally on thrusday I left all the options of going for the trip as it was tooo late to get tickets for train/bus for Friday night. But my friends from Infy (really jugaadu ones) got hold of tickets from somewhere and that proved to be a beginning point of a wonderful weekend.

After waiting for bus for arnd two hrs on roadside, we finally got into the bus.Seats were really uncomfortable and the Telgu movie/songs were creating blunder but we screamed and shouted a lot to have lots of fun, pulling each other’s legs. Reached Vizag at 9’oclock in morning. The weather was really amazing.A bit of cloudy and cool breeze flowing with a bit of sprinlers. Everyone had told us before leaving hydbd that we r mad that we r going to Vizag in this scorching heat and humidity will play a major spoilsport, but it seemed to be completely opposite. We checked-in a lodge there and I got the most 2 troublesome roomies, Rakheja and Mangla, of the lot who loved each other so much that can’t live without fighting with each other. I thought my whole night will spend in acting as a refree in their WWF. After freshening up and taking breakfast we went to Kailashgiri hills. There is a giant statue of Shiv and parvati on top of hill near the beach. The best part there was the breath taking awesome view of sea beach. Standing there it wasn’t looking like I am in India. I was feeling that I am in Australia and roaming around the sea coast there. The beach road connecting to Kailashgiri hills is amazing. We didn’t left any single opportunity to pose with every bikes, cars, pillars, rocks and road dividers on the beach road. The climate was adding a great touch to our odyssey. Then we went to RK Beach and took a ride on antique bus to Vishakhapatnam harbour, from where we boarded onto a steamer. I wont ever forget that steamer ride as we went on front deck of steamer and standed there as it was cruising inside the sea. When the steamer was moving up and down with the waves, it felt that we are moving in a roller coaster ride and heart started pounding heavily. Those 20 mins on steamer was a life time experience as it seemed synonymous to me as our own lives. We were like a steamer moving into the sea and looking at our dreams/goals which are very distant like a ship flowing in water and we are moving up and down in life like a steamer flowing in the middle of Bay of Bengal.
Then we came back to beach and had a bath in salty water. Bay of Bengal is damm salty..
We played a lot in sea water, drank lots of water and also got many injuries. Came back to lodge and took bath and started looking for dinner. We went to pizza corner and hogged the pizza’s (one of my all-time favs) then started roaming on Vizag streets.Ate hot, damm tasty gulab jamuns(my most fav one) at one place, ate meetha pan. We were so much over eaten as if we were about to blast now. Came back to hotel and watched India- WI match and played cards till 5:30 in morning.

As we hadn’t slept for a single minute, all 4 of us were sleeping in the qualis next day, which we hired for Arku Valley and bora caves.Again whole day it was raining and to add to it was the lush green beauty of Aarku valley. Whole valley was looking like if someone has laid a green cover there on the mountains. We really had a greta experience.
And finally we went to Bora caves which are around 350 yrs old caves. Then we returned back to Vizag by 4 and once again went to beach side and then saw the submarine musem, first of its kind in Asia and fifth in world.I Awesome to see such a huge machine and underwater strength of Indian Navy. Went back to bus station and caught our bus by 6:30.And we all slept in bus as noone was having any energy to even talk. And reached hydbd by 8 in morning. I had really good memories and some bruises on my legs to remember from that trip.
